Pedal assembly, remove and install

Remove negative cable from battery

Remove left lower dash panel

Disconnect brake light switch and all connectors attached to steering column. Disconnect clutch switch if fitted

Remove return springs from brake, clutch pedal (if fitted), and accelerator pedal

CAUTION: Do not mix up pedal return springs, they are of different rates.

Remove retaining clip on brake actuating rod and remove pivot pin.

Remove nut from clutch master cylinder pivot on clutch pedal and remove eccentric pedal.

Remove the two 10mm bolts securing clutch master cylinder to pedal housing.

Remove the two 13mm bolts above the brake pedal.

Remove the four 13mm nuts securing the brake booster to the firewall.

Lift out pedal assembly

Installation:

Check for correct installation of over center spring on clutch pedal.

Lubricate pivot pins of pedals with grease.

Adjust clutch switch if fitted

Adjust clutch pedal by rotating eccentric bolt joining pedal to master cylinder

Torques :

Pedal box mounting nuts : 22 Nm (16 ft lbs.)
Nut on pedal pivot shaft : 27 Nm ( 20 ft lbs.)
Clutch master bolts : 9 Nm (6.5 ft lbs.)
Clutch master eccentric : 22 -24 Nm (16 - 17 ft lbs.)
Brake booster to firewall : 22 - 24 Nm ( 16 - 17 ft lbs.)
