Remove and install

| Remove Phillips screw from trunk light switch, remove switch and
disconnect wiring. |

| Pry out trunk light, disconnect wiring from light. Brown
ground wire from switch goes straight to light and can stay connected to light when it is
removed. |
| Thread wiring out of trunk lid, into trunk |
|
| Loosen lower hinge bolts (yellow arrows) and remove upper bolts (white
arrows) |
 |
| Slide trunk lid up and off hinges, lower hinge bolt holes are
slotted to allow bolts to slide out. |
| If replacing trunk lid, transfer striker, light and switch to
new lid |
Front height :
|
|
| Loosen bolts on hinges and install or remove spacers as required |
 |
Horizontal alignment
|
|
| Loosen trunk striker. |
|
| Loosen hinge bolts Align trunk so that gaps on each side are even and
equal
Tighten bolts, ensure striker is correctly positioned for positive engagement with
latch.

|
Rear height :
|
|
| Screw in rubber bumpers completely, after adjustment is set,
screw the bumpers back out until they are under slight pressure with the trunk closed. |
| Adjust the locking bar on the striker by turning the locking
nut, until trunk lid is approximately 1mm deeper than the rear panels at the rear edge. |
