Steering column, remove and installRemove negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel Remove steering knuckle Remove lower left dash trim Remove 4 screws from lower steering column casing. Unclip electrical connectors from column. Remove shear bolts from steering column bracket with a chisel Lower column and remove upper casing Loosen clamp where column enters firewall and lift out column. InstallationTighten new shear bolts until heads break off. TorquesLower clamp : 22 Nm (16 ft lbs.) |
