| Drain brake fluid from reservoir to a point below the intake
for the clutch master cylinder. The reservoir can be pulled out of the brake master
cylinder to achieve this. |
| Crack loose the metal pressure pipe from the slave cylinder |
 |
| Remove the two 13mm nuts securing the slave cylinder to the transmission.
Slide the cylinder off the studs. A flexible 13mm socket and long extension are required
to remove the top nut. Bend the pressure pipe slightly if it is causing an
obstruction. |
 |
| Disconnect the pressure pipe. |
Installation
|
|
| Thread in pressure pipe fitting finger tight before installing
slave cylinder. |
| Lubricate end of actuating rod with molybdenum grease. |
| Install slave so that bleed screw faces down. |
| Note that dual mass flywheels require a thicker diameter slave
cylinder, 22.2mm as opposed to 20.64mm for standard units. |
