A good quality set of jack stands, positioned
correctly under your car, is worth every bit of money and effort if the jack fails while
you are under there. Don't take short cuts, do the job right!
Front:
Place jack stands at point where control arm bushing is mounted to front
frame rail.
If control arm bracket is to be removed, place the jack stand a little
further back, on the frame rail.
Rear:
Place jack stands on rear sub-frame, next to sub-frame bushing.
If sub-frame is to be removed, place jack stand at factory jacking point
on sill.
