| Remove negative cable from battery. |

| Remove radio, requires BMW special tool available at any BMW retailer. |

| Reach in through radio opening and pop out switches and / or covers from
above the radio. Disconnect switches. |

| Remove two Phillips head screws from the second and fourth switch
openings. Pull knobs of dials and slides. Take care not to break ends of slide levers. |
 |
| Pull cover plate off vent slides, remove 4 screws behind cover plate. |
 |
| Remove two Phillips screws from below heater control panel.(arrows) |
 |
| Remove wiring connector from blower switch and clock/OBC. Lay face
plate aside. |
 |
| Pull the control panel forward slightly. Do not force it.

| Disconnect two pin connector (green arrow) Pop actuating rod
out of retainer (red arrow)
Remove two Phillips screws from motor bracket and lift assembly up to disengage clip at
rear of motor.
Remove the screws securing motor to bracket and separate. |
