Slip ring, remove and installRemove steering wheel Lift casing off slip ring Mark position of locking ring to the hub, unscrew the three studs, press the circlip down, turn and remove it. Lift out the slip ring lock with a screwdriver Disconnect the plug, remove the three screws in the wheel and remove the slip ring. InstallationMount then new slip ring to the wheel then remove the locking screw visible through the hole between two of the mounting screws. Place the locking tab spring on the tab and inert the tab into the bore. Press it down until it locks into place. Place the locking ring on the hub, turn it and pull it up so that the studs appear in the openings. Lubricate the horn ring with grease. |
