| Bolt BMW special tool 11 1 111 to the side of the head above the exhaust
ports |

| Remove pipe fitting from left front of head, beside number 1 intake port.
Install a bolt in this hole to seal it. |

| Bolt on BMW special tools 11 1 112 on base of head and 11 1 113 to the
rear water outlet. |
|
| Pressurize head to 2 bar (28psi), submerge the head in water . |
|
| Placing detergent in the water will make leaks more visible. |
